Encouraged by the level of interest shown by young filmmakers in our programmes facilitating their professional start (live-action short films' programme "30 Minutes", and "First Documentary" for documentary filmmakers), we are launching a new programme "Young Animation". The aim is to stimulate production of animated films in any animation technique (including cutting-edge digital techniques).

"Young Animation" welcomes applications from:

  • students or graduates of film directing and animation
  • students or graduates of Academies of  Fine Arts or other colleges without filmmaking education, who have made at least one short animated film or any other work using modern digital technique

The programme is co-financed by the Andrzej Munk Film Studio (functioning within the framework of the Polish Filmmakers Association), Polish Film Institute and Telewizja Polska (Polish Television).

Yearly, in "Young Animation" programme there are 5 animated films produced, each 3 - 5 minutes long.

Films produced within the programme "Young Animation" are debuts. They cannot be treated as school films, diploma films, films used to earn student credits, or made during college education, etc.

Each of the films will have a budget of 50,000 PLN, plus a contribution of executive producer.

Platige Image is an official partner of the programme.
